Construction Drone Club
About
The Construction Drone Club at the University of Texas at Arlington (UTA) is dedicated to advancing drone applications for commercial and recreational purposes by equipping students and staff with the skills and knowledge necessary to thrive in the evolving field of unmanned aircraft systems (UAS).
In alignment with the 2018 Reauthorization Act of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) as well as UTA's participation in the Unmanned Aircraft Systems-Collegiate Training Initiative (UAS-CTI) Program, which began in June 2024, the Construction Drone Club partners with UTA’s Department of Civil Engineering to offer both students and staff practical experience in drone operations to enhance professional development and deepen the understanding of how UAS technology contributes to modern society.
